Brønnøysundregistrene is Norway's government registration centre. On its website you can find information about any organisation registered in Norway, free of charge. Before you travel to a "Norwegian employer", look it up here by name: if the company is not in the register or the details do not match what you are being told, that is a serious warning sign. How to use it safely: • Check the address in your browser's address bar: scammers make copies of official websites with similar addresses. It is safer to type the address yourself than to follow a link from a message. • Even on an official portal, job ads are posted by the employers themselves. Check the company in your country's government register and do not pay strangers for "processing", "reserving a place" or a "visa". • If an ad asks you to write only via Telegram or WhatsApp, promises a salary much higher than usual and asks for an upfront payment, these are signs of fraud.
