On 19 October 2026, Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) officially warned that the website xtbespana.com, operating under the name "XTB ESPANA", is a clone: it has nothing to do with the real Spanish branch of the broker XTB (XTB, S.A., Sucursal en España) and is not its website. The CNMV has added it to its list of entities that are not authorised to provide investment services.
Details from the warning:
Websites: xtbespana.com.
Scammers often change website addresses, phone numbers and names, so a similar website with a different address may be the same scheme.
What to do: do not transfer money, do not install remote access software, and do not send photos of your documents or your card details. Before trusting a company with your money, look it up in the CNMV registers (cnmv.es) and contact it only using the details from the official register, not from a website or an email. If you have already paid, keep your messages and receipts and contact your bank, the police and the relevant authorities.
