EURES is the European Job Mobility Portal, an official service of the European Union. It is run by a network of public employment services of the EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. It brings together job vacancies from these countries and reference information about living and working in each of them: how to look for work, which documents you need, and how taxes work. The portal is free to use. How to use it safely: • Check the address in your browser's address bar: scammers make copies of official websites with similar addresses. It is safer to type the address yourself than to follow a link from a message. • Even on an official portal, job ads are posted by the employers themselves. Check the company in your country's government register and do not pay strangers for "processing", "reserving a place" or a "visa". • If an ad asks you to write only via Telegram or WhatsApp, promises a salary much higher than usual and asks for an upfront payment, these are signs of fraud.
